Course Objectives

Objectives of B.Sc. Zoology-

To provide students with knowledge of fundamental principles in zoology that willprovide a foundation for their later advanced course in more specific biological subjects.
To make students familiar with animal classification schemes and other applied coursesas well as developing an understanding of and ability to apply basic zoological principles.
To integrate the laboratory and lecture sections of the course and directed towardteaching students both in the classroom and on the field.
To provide quality education offering skill based programs and motivate the studentsfor self-employment in applied branches of Zoology.
To inculcate the value based education and entrepreneurial skills among the students.
To create awareness on environmental issues through various activities.

Objectives of M.Sc. Zoology –

To enrich the nature and basic concepts of Cell Biology, Genetics, Animal Physiology, Ecology and Applied Zoology.
To analyse the relationships among animals with their ecosystems.
To impart knowledge in the areas of Animal Physiology, Ecology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Applied Zoology, Biochemistry and Techniques of Zoology, Sericulture, Biochemistry, Fish Biology, Animal Biotechnology, and Immunology.
To gains knowledge about animal breeding and its care.
To apply the knowledge and understanding of Zoology to one’s own life and work
